I am so proud to announce an incredible new initiative with my ongoing charitable partner The King’s Trust. The holiday season is such an important time for giving back, so on 13th November, World Kindness Day, we will donate 100% of sales of my award-winning Magic Cream on www.charlottetilbury.com to The King’s Trust*. Having been an ambassador for The Trust for over two years now, this is a cause that is very close to my heart and I am incredibly proud to continue to support its mission to empower young people, while nurturing and supporting their talent. Just like The Kings Trust, I share the belief that life is about confidence and confidence creates a virtuous circle of positivity.
Every young person should have the chance to succeed, and The King’s Trust offers the opportunity to create a better future through employment, education and enterprise, helping their dreams come true.
Charlotte Tilbury support The King's Trust Enterprise Programme, a free program that helps young people aged 18 to 30 in the UK start their own businesses. In the last year alone, and with Charlotte’s support, The King’s Trust has supported more than 7,000 young people through its Enterprise programme and helped 410 businesses to launch.
Kyle Frank, who started his organic skincare business Frank’s Remedies with The King’s Trust support, said:
“As a young entrepreneur, it was an amazing opportunity to learn more about Charlotte’s story, her positive mindset and how she overcame the challenges she faced when establishing her own business. Hearing from her, Demetra and the wider Charlotte Tilbury team was invaluable, and I was offered advice on the day which I know I will be using in the future.”
With the help of my amazing dream teams – including Finance, Marketing and Retail – we have now welcomed over 30 young people into our London Magic Office for our mentoring workshops! These invaluable sessions are hosted by our team of experts, who mentor and inspire young entrepreneurs, teaching them the secrets behind running a successful business and helping them to unlock the skills and confidence they need to achieve their dreams.
In partnership with the Get Hired programme, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is committed to giving young people across the UK career opportunities at the London Magic Office! My incredible Team Tilbury attended one of The King’s Trust’s Get Hired events in 2023, an event where young people are given the opportunity to network with potential employers and take part in speed interviews. Two of the young people attending were hired by Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, bringing their amazing talents to our Finance and Internal Communication teams!
With 75% of the young people from Get Hired coming from diverse backgrounds, this magical programme supports my mission to welcome the very best talent into my dream team!
Amal is a dear friend of mine, and I’m so honoured to be the official sponsor of The Amal Clooney Women’s Empowerment Award – which shines a light on the work of young women who are breaking down barriers and making a lasting difference in their communities.
The King’s Trust, Amal and I share the belief that life is about confidence – and I truly believe that as women, we are strongest when we support one another! It is such a privilege to be able to support this award and do my part in celebrating these young women and everything they have achieved.
This year’s award recipient is Arti, who has broken barriers to be one of the first female pink rickshaw drivers in her village in Uttar Pradesh, India, providing safe transport for other women, and inspiring girls just like her to pursue careers which are typically dominated by men.
A vocal champion of girls’ education, Zamana was just 16 when she launched her campaign to support and encourage girls to stay in school – initiating and leading conversations that stress that school-aged girls should not yet become wives and mothers, and should instead focus on completing their education.
Tanzila is a disability rights activist, author, motivational speaker and the founder of Girlythings PK (a mobile application that delivers sanitary products to women with disabilities). Raising awareness of and providing access to reproductive health and education, Tanzila is a trailblazer for change within her field and community.
In April 2023, I was so proud to mark the magical moment of Their Majesties’ Coronation with the launch of my limited-edition lipstick, Coronation Red – a royal kiss of colour to empower everyone, everywhere. Selling out in less than a week, 100% of the sales were donated to The King’s Trust to help transform young people’s lives.
