“I am so thrilled to finally be able to attend Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in person, having created the makeup look for Zuhair Murad’s Fall/Winter ’21 Couture show remotely. It is always such a privilege to work with Zuhair and help bring his incredible visions to life, and for Spring/Summer ’22 Couture, we wanted to complement the elegance and detail of the pieces whilst capturing the rebellious spirit of adventure within the collection. We had so much fun creating this look!
Because the garments were very intricate, with a lot of beautiful metallics, we wanted the makeup to be quite pure, fresh and undone. We used Charlotte’s Magic Cream moisturiser and new Charlotte's Beautiful Skin Foundation to create a healthy, dewy looking glow on the skin, with a lightly sun-kissed, cream contour inspired by desert islands.
Zuhair loves the drama of a smokey eye, so we used neutral-toned matte eyeshadows to define the eyes and create a beautiful, diffused effect, with a sheer, bronzed pop on the lids.

“Zuhair wanted to capture the luxurious, opulent feel of the couture collection whilst complementing the undone, effortless hair styling, so we created Charlotte’s signature cool-toned, brown smokey eye with blown-out, seamlessly blended eyeliner and a matte, pressed-on nude apricot lip.
We went for flawless-looking, natural matte skin using Magic Cream Light, Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, and used the creamy, matte textures in the new face palette for a subtle, soft contour that still lets the skin shine through.
The brows were brushed-up and feathered for a full, fluffy, natural look using the Supermodel Brow collection, which works perfectly with the neutral matte nudes in the Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette.
This new makeup collection is all about making you feel like the most super version of you with neutral nudes for every complexion. You can dial them up or down to mimic the natural pigments in your skin, and it was so fun to create a sexy, cool girl smokey eye for Zuhair this year.
